Vocation to transform lives
5 of May of 1966, the initial mark of a history marked by much fight, dedication and respect for the education. The families Favaro (José Favaro Júnior and Prof. Neusa Pincerno Teixeira) and Spinelli (Prof. Dr. Domingos João Baptista Spinelli and Dr. Elza Aparecida Dinamarco), responsible for the Associação Ribeirãopretana de Educação, a non-profit civil society, were the idealizers of the Barão de Mauá Educational Organization, whose main objective was to create a Faculty capable of respecting the fundamental principles of higher education and offering a timeless education that would really be able to prepare students not only for the job market, but for life.
The Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Literature "Barão de Mauá" quickly became an educational and intellectual center, after all, it was forming teachers with a high level of professional qualification, the beginning of a great virtuous cycle that raised the quality of higher education of Ribeirão Preto and all its region.
